The Best Breakfast Smoothie

BananaSmoothieI have seldom met a smoothie that counts as breakfast (I am usually an egg and toast kind of girl) but I promise this one is hearty. I guzzle one of these at 8am and it usually keeps me satisfied until noon. It’s easy to make, full of protein and fiber, and truth be told tastes like a milkshake! It’s the perfect grab-and-go breakfast for that mom (me!) who is perpetually late for drop off.

Ingredients:

  • 1 ripe banana
  • 2 tbs all natural peanut butter
  • 2 tbs ground flaxseed meal
  • 1 cup almond milk
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup ice cubes
  • 1 tsp honey
  • 2 dashes cinnamon

Blend all ingredients for 2 minutes. Drink and enjoy!
