When John and I talk about summer dream plans – mine often include a house swap that finds us nestled away in the English countryside or South of France. I am incredibly envious of the life Writer, “It Girl”, and Fashion Consultant Amanda Brooks is living. In the summer of 2012 she, her artist husband, their two kids, and their dog left a fast-paced life in New York City and moved full-time to a home in the English Countryside. The Oxfordshire estate, belonging to her husband’s family, had previously been their summer escape. They now spend their days riding horses, caring for a variety of farm animals, and living the “country life”. I imagine the local foods they find at market are astonishingly fresh and delicious. And the walks through the hills surrounding their estate? Heaven. If only I could somehow convince them to do a house swap this August. Sounds perfect to me…
