Since moving back to the Greenwich area 4 years ago I have loved getting to know some of our local charities. The Family Centers has always stood out to me as a non-profit that works with integrity and love – serving children, adults, and teens. They run everything from grief counseling groups to early head start programs. Their employees and volunteers are educators and caregivers. They truly are improving the lives of thousands of people on a daily basis. They’re plugged in outside of our town too, running programs and helping those in need in Stamford, Darien, New Canaan, Norwalk, Westchester, and Greenwich.
This Wednesday the Family Centers welcomes the incomparable Jane Fonda back to her hometown (Who knew she attended the Greenwich Academy?) to share her insights about a topic that has been her main focus in recent years. Fonda is passionate about teens and the conflicts they face in this media-centric, fast paced world. She will take the stage at the Greenwich Hyatt to discuss tough topics like identity, sex, body image, and relationships. You can buy tickets to the event here.
