Great Non-Profit: Carver Center

The absolute best part of my job (Pless Productions) is getting to know amazing non-profits when I work with them on telling their story through video. When a friend introduced my business to the Carver Center in Port Chester I was thrilled to learn that just across the street from the Capitol Theater, there is a community center that is changing lives every day of the week. They offer space for Early Head Start programs, run after school programs, offer a gym, a food pantry, swim lessons, meditation classes, citizenship classes, and an after school safe space for teens. The list could go on forever of all the ways (big and small) this center is helping their community. Many people ask me how they can get their children more involved in service work. Well, Carver is a great place to start. They always need help in the food pantry, serving meals to the elderly, and tutoring for children of all ages too. When I spoke to their CEO Anne Bradner for this video she reminded me that when the tide goes up, all ships rise. Isn’t that a beautiful way to remind us that giving in our community matters. If we give to one, we are often helping all. Here is a peek at some of the good work Carver Center is doing.

Please stay tuned, because we will be doing a holiday family volunteer event in November through Little Wings Foundation. One Sunday afternoon we will partner with a deserving non-profit to make their holiday season more abundant. Looking forward to working with you and your little people of all ages to shine a light into the corners of our world that need help. Merry weekend!
