My husband wears a suit to work every day so he has acquired quite a collection of ties over the years. One of my favorites is a vintage Hermès with windmills on it (my husband’s father was Dutch) that I bought off of Ebay when we were first dating. Needless to say – after years of wear and tear some of his ties were in terrible shape. He headed over to the Hermès store and inquired about what he could do with his ties that were starting to unravel and were badly stained. They sent him to Tiecrafters, and we were thrilled with the work they did cleaning, pressing, and resowing a handful of his ties. I’d bet they do great work on silk scarves too. It’s a name worth putting in your rolodex.
