Best Books on The Sentimentalist

We have been getting very craftsy over at our place. Both my girls just spent a week at “art camp” with one of their favorite teachers and they have been completely inspired ever since. They especially love when I draw or paint things that they then try to replicate. We’ve also recently had a lot of fun using old-school tracing paper. These “Scratch and Sketch” books have become our current favorites. I love that they are informative (on the left pages there are stories and descriptions) and leave room for creativity (on the right pages children can copy the images from the left pages or come up with their own ideas). Each book comes with a drawing stick that requires no sharpening and won’t dry out. They are great gifts for friends and the perfect thing to keep on hand in a closet for the next rainy day stuck at home. I just ordered two more for each girl (Mermaids and Butterflies) since they both have birthdays on the horizon!
