In the midst of the end-of-school-year chaos I was invited to go into New York City and see the Kips Bay Decorator Show House. I had never been so I jumped at the opportunity to see it. It did not disappoint! The Mark D. Sikes room was one of my favorites but along the way I was blown away by many of the small design details. The art collage by Philip Mitchell that was hung along the walls of the spiral staircase was also insanely good. Walking through the house with a handful of fabulous women was perfection. It was so fun to have people to discuss the designs with as we made our way from room to room. For those of you who didn’t make it into the city but enjoy interior design below are some of my favorite shots!
I have been perusing so many photos from the show house, but these were the first with the level of detail the designs deserve. Well posted, Lindley!
Lindley, you captured the glamour AND the warmth of the Showhouse perfectly!!
Wonderful!
