Every so often a new gadget makes its way into our kitchen drawers. (Said drawers have been recently filled with drawer organizers and they are looking mighty nice!) This OXO Handheld Spiralizer is our newest addition and I am slightly obsessed. Tonight I used this contraption to “spiralize” 3 zucchinis. It took about 5 minutes to spin the veggies through the shredder. I then tossed them in a pan with some olive oil, salt, and pepper – and they were the perfect side dish for dinner. They definitely count towards my 6 week wellness initiative. I felt like I was eating pasta, but obviously squash is a whole lot healthier. I am pretty sure the kids will be super excited about eating curly raw carrots in the future too. Let’s not forget kids like a little variety on the food prep front as well. 😉
