My mom came back from a trip to Seattle last year with two books that have added such richness to our little home library. Rosie Revere, Engineer and Iggy Peck, Architect, both by Andrea Beaty, are fabulous. Each is the story of a child inspired at a young age to follow their passions for architecture and engineering. Their talents are poo-pooed by many but they fearlessly forge ahead – coming out the heroes in the end. They are expertly illustrated as well. My girls adore these books and they are fun to read as they are written in rhymes. Either one makes a great gift for a child with “untraditional” talents or passions!
