It’s hard to believe that a new year is upon us. The years keep flying by with lightning speed. This Christmas vacation I was more conscious than ever before of how much my children have grown up. My oldest daughter is 9. NINE! Next year we hit double digits. It’s hard to believe that when I started this blog she was just 4 years old, and we had lived in CT for only 2 years. Today marks the 5 year anniversary of the blog, and I am gobsmacked that we’ve made it this far. As always I am eternally grateful for each and every one of you that has tuned it to read what I had to share. When I started I was a full time stay-at-home mom, and it felt so good to be back in touch with other curious adults, even it was just through the digital means. This blog really does help me feel connected.
The end of 2017 was a busy one on the production front, and it caused me to spend more time working with clients and less time writing. I was really proud of the videos Pless Productions turned out, you can catch the most recent ones here. It’s funny though, sometimes we don’t know how much we like doing something until we take a break from it, and gain some perspective on the richness it brings to our lives. I’ve missed the writing, and I hope to do more of it this year. That being said, I would love to hear from you all about what you’d like to see featured on the blog. Is it recipes? Or book reviews? Or just images of the things that are inspiring me right now? I’ve got some great things lined up and I can’t wait for you meet the people I will be featuring.
Here’s what you can expect from The Sent in 2018… A big reveal on how I figured out the allergy that has plagued me for over a year, and a look inside how my life has changed since starting Transcendental Meditation 2 months ago. Some great Q&As with artists we recently discovered in VT and Charleston. A look inside some of my favorite recently released interior design projects. Lots and lots of book reviews, and of course some great gift guides with plenty of designers you may or may not have heard of. I’m also really excited to bring video to the blog, think recipes being crafted right before your eyes! Let’s hear it for 2018! My hope is that this year will be one filled with learning, peace, grace, and great happiness for us all.
Happy 5!!
