Beauty: Summer Hairdo

Hair1

After this post about Five Minute Make-Up I got a few inquiries about the double braid hairdo I am sporting in the photos. I promise it is easier than it looks! I actually choose this hairdo when I am pressed for time and can’t pull off a full wash and blow dry. This hairdo works better when your hair is one day dirty. It’s great for extra hot summer nights too because it keeps your hair off your neck. Feels fresh and perfect for when you run off the beach and straight to a BBQ!

Hair3It’s important to have the right tools. I am obsessed with my Wet Brush, Goody clear elastics and Scunci bobby pins.

Hair4Work on both sides of your natural part – grabbing a small cluster of hair from each side. Divide cluster of hair on right of part into three parts and french braid (grabbing more hair as you go) and finish braid at the top of your neck with a clear elastic. Repeat on other side. When both are finished grab both braids and rest of hair in a ponytail and finish with another clear elastic.

Hair7Twist ponytail into a loose bun.

Hair6Use bobby pins to secure bun.

Hair5All set!
