Fresh Flowers

Carolyne Roehm on The Sent

As we move into the long hot days of August most of the blooms on our property have come and gone. A few wild roses are still clinging to the front wall and back fence… It’s been fun getting to know the flower beds around our new home and I can’t wait for next spring to see what pops up that I missed this year. I’ve long said I am going to be better about keeping fresh flowers in our home. Part of the reason I hold back from buying them when I am out and about is my lack of knowing how to style them. I’ve recently been inspired by the handiwork of Carolyne Roehm who has some of the most gorgeous gardens at her home I have ever seen. Her new book, out this fall, is getting a lot of hype. It looks current, fresh, and very inspiring. I plan to pre-order it now and then use it for inspiration in the months to come.
